From the mathematical problems in schools to managing finances in real life, we come across many problems daily. Problems are a part of life. Problem-solving skills allow us to find solutions efficiently and effectively. Being able to effectively solve problems is a valuable trait and can boost a person’s overall career growth.
A deep-rooted problem may not go away easily. No matter what you do, it would pop up sooner or later.
Stubborn and recurring problems are a result of complex issues where quick-fix techniques won’t work. Solving problems on the surface would just waste resources. The solution can sometimes be too simple yet never thought of because of a superficial approach rather than an in-depth one.
Why Technique is a simple method where you ask “Why” enough times until you get through all the symptoms of a problem further down to the root cause.
An interesting application of this technique was at the Lincoln Memorial in the US. The walls of the memorial were deteriorating. The solution that came out to be was very simple. Any idea what they did?
They just changed how the monument is illuminated.
Wasn’t that so easy?
