Any profession can be enjoyed to its fullest only when these aspects “Freedom, Money and Time” are in balance. And this is nothing but “Financial Freedom”.
Financial Freedom enables you to have freedom to choose what you want to do, when you want to it and how you want to do it.
Key to financial freedom lies in small habits. Habits that form our everyday routine and we just follow it subconsciously, just like brushing our teeth when we wake up. So here’s 5 basic habits that we can inculcate today to reach
Financial Freedom :
1) Investing in yourself :
We think bonds, stock, real estate, gold etc will make money for us. No we make money for ourselves. So investing in our skill enhancement is of utmost importance. Next level of life will demand a new you and you should be ready and equipped for it. Taking a stock of your skills and enhancing them is the best investment. A faster wood cutter is not the strongest and most hardworking, he is the one who has sharpest saw. So don’t forget to sharpen your skills from time to time.
2) Look at Money positively :
Everyone wants to grow rich, but many a times lot of negative money beliefs are embedded in our subconscious like rich people forget humanity, Money brings more stress, Money should be hard earned only and so many more. These kind of money mindset will stop you from reaching your money goals. So get this thoughts corrected. Work on your money mindset. Money is just a medium and what you do with it matters.
3) Pay yourself First :
So till know if your formula was “Income – Expenses = Savings”, then we need to change it to “Income – Savings = Expenses”. That is how your expenses should be determined.
4) Create Additional source of Income :
And this is exactly where step one will help us. Having awareness of our skills and sharpening them will open up lot of opportunities. Monetizing this opportunities needs expert advice. Many a times we are aware of our skills but are unsure how to convert it into a money source. And that’s where mentors are needed. Find a mentor, who will guide you into converting your passion into profession and help you achieve financial freedom by monetizing your skills.
5) Buy experience not things :
People might not remember what you said, what you gave them or what you did, but they will always remember how they felt when they were with you. Hoarding all your funds till you reach 65 is not financial freedom. Living your life every single moment is financial freedom. Crack the nut till you have teeth.
